I am going back to work here in a couple of weeks and am curious to see your schedule.
Right now my little guy eats about every three hours from 6am until 9pm (more or less) and sleeps through the night about 70% of the time.
How many times do you pump at work? I was planning to pump morning and afternoon and go nurse at lunch.
How many ounces does your LO take in a bottle? He gets a bottle once a day and takes about 4ounces if he is willing to eat from it - that will be a struggle for a bit.
Any other good advice?
Thanks ladies!
Re: 5 months EBF working moms tell me about your schedule
DS goes every 3 hours or so. I feed him in the morning before I leave, then I pump three times at work -- around 9, 12 and 3. I feed him immediately when I get home, and then before bed. So he gets me three times, and the bottle three times.
He just recently moved up to 2 - 4.5 oz bottles and 1 4 oz bottle. He's 4months.
Here is our Schedule:
6a Nurse, 9a 5 oz bottle, 10a pump, 12n 5 oz bottle, 2p pump, 3p 5 oz bottle, 6p nurse, 7:30-8p nurse/bed, 2-3a nurse.
DD does not STTN, but she is pretty close!
My LO takes 5-6 ounces in a bottle and he's 4 months tomorrow. He has 3 bottles while at my mother in laws and one more in the middle of the night. I nurse him most mornings and at night, but sometimes we use bottles then too so he may only nurse once a day some days depending on how hectic the morning/night is. I pump 5x a day - once in the morning at home, 3x at work at 10, 1 and 4, then I pump before going to bed. I get about a total of around 25 ounces out of me a day so I often use my freezer stash to supplement, but can usually build it back up a little on the weekends. I am plannig on introducing formula around 6 months with cereal.
