I will probably do this. I saw some nice ones at Kohl's awhile back that actually look a lot like my rings, so I'll probably do it. I just feel so naked without my engagement and wedding rings.
I have a past, present, future ring so I just wear that now because it's a half size larger than my E-ring and wedding band. If my fingers get too swollen for it I will get a fake. I look young already so people will look at me like I'm a teen mom (not that there is anything wrong with that, I just don't like the stares!)
I am dreading this day. I think I will shop for a cheapie set so I don't feel naked. Or my H has an extra wedding band and I might just wear that. It is a little too big now but will probably fit perfectly when my fingers swell.
I'm not there yet, but it's coming anytime now. I found some pretty decent looking CZ sets that are inexpensive at Overstock.com. You may also want to check QVC. Their Diamonique line has some beautiful stuff and it's very affordable and no one can tell the difference. I own several of their pieces and I love all of them and always receive compliments when I wear them. Have fun shopping!
I've been thinking about this, but I haven't pulled the trigger because I have one substitute band that still fits easily. I've spent some time checking out overstock.com, though - there are definitely some pretty things there (though it may depend on how much you want to spend).
Would you go up half a size or a full size? I had such trouble trying to decide....
No way! Once my ring doesn't fit anymore, it's going in a jewelry box until it does. It would be so much easier without it. I take it off everytime I go to the bathroom because when I wash my hands, my skin gets really dry and I need to put lotion on and I don't like to get lotion on my ring. It makes it look dingy.

I keep thinking about it. I feel so strange without my wedding and engagement rings. Also sort of embarrassed about being pregnant looking and no ring. I might try e-bay. I checked etsy but everything I liked was too expensive to justify buying since it'll be a temp.
Yep! I've got a few actually... one set in one size up from my real rings, and another 2 sizes up. I ended up swelling so bad the last time that just one size up didn't cut it. I couldn't stand walking around without a ring on.
Oh, and I basically just went to a department store and bought one off the shelf...
Sure did! Not yet this time around but with DS I think once I hit the 3rd trimester I had to get a temporary band. I'm pretty sure I got it at Walmart. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money on something I would only wear for a few months! I saved it for this pregnancy too

I haven't reached that point as yet, but I am really close. I am going to buy a fake one because I feel naked without it. My wedding band is a little bigger than my engagement ring so hopefully I will be able to use just that for awhile.
Yeah, probably will. Most likely just a plain gold band from WalMart or Target or something. Nothing fancy. The cz site I love is pretty pricey, so I don't see that happening. Their stuff is top notch though - I have earrings and jewelers have complimented me on them, lol. I have a friend who got her e-ring through them and it's nicer looking than my white sapphire!

Thanks ladies! I have a right hand ring that fits my ring finger, so I have that on today...but it's clearly not a wedding band. I have that "young look" going on so I appreciate people knowing I'm not a harlot.
I actually need to go up a whole size - from a 4.5 to a 5.5! I might buy a size 6, but I'm not sure.
I did. I feel naked without my rings, and it bothers me to not wear them, they're important to me. I got rings on Ebay. I have 2 stainless steel rings, one is a cz eternity band, one is a plain stainless steel band.

DH and I got married with plain bands (according to tradition) but my everyday band is different. I have switched back to the plain band because it is a bit larger than my regular band.

I have been too puffy for a while now so I wear my wedding ring and e-ring on a chain around my neck.. I now wear my promise ring that I wore for 4 years before we got married on my left hand (it's a blue topaz surrounded by diamonds - its so nice to wear it again).
I will not be buying temporary rings because I know I am married and that's all I need. And, besides, it's no one's business, anyway.
Yes, I have had to do this with both pregnancys, I didn't see the point in spending money to make my ring bigger for just a few months. The first time I went to Dillards and got a cheap one off the rack, this time I was at Kohls and their jewlery counter had sterling silver rings, orig 75.00 marked down to 45, and when they rang it up it was 8.00! Its bigger than my wedding ring, but not gauty like some of the cheapy ones you can find on the rack, its just a simple solitare...
Nope, I'm not planning on it. If anything, I'll wear my rings on a necklace. We're trying to watch every penny right now so I don't feel the need to buy another, albeit cheaper, ring.
For some reason my hands and feet get really hot and swollen before bed and I always have to take my ring off while I'm sleeping, but so far so good during the day. If it gets bad though I might go buy something cheap to wear. I want to keep my ring with me though if I do that so I'll probalby put my ring on a chain or something.
If my rings get too tight I will use the one that DH proposed with from wal-mart. Long story but my Ering was wrong when he went to pick it up and had already made plans to propose that night so he went to wal-mart and proposed with that ring. I wore it proudly until they fixed mine.

I agree with this. Another ring doesn't really have the same significance that my actually wedding rings do to me.
