  • :raises hand:  at my next appt. we're discussing an external version or c/s options.  I still haven't decided what I want to do and am just praying that she turns before next Monday.

  • Yep - LO decided to go complete breech at 35 weeks...and I'm on bedrest for ptl. So now if I go into real labor, it'll be an immediate c/s...and if I don't, my ob is scheduling a c/s a week before my due date.

Cut to me doing every ridiculous stretch and position to try and make him flip before then :)

  • I do!  I am scheduled for a section on August 11th.
  • Mine's still flipping all over the place--she's been alternating head up and head down at ev. appointment, so our fingers are just crossed that she lands on head down!
    Dear Bump: You suck.

Nathaniel was breech, but not frank breech.  He turned at 38 weeks.  I had a C-section anyway, and my recovery was quite quick and painless.  (Less than a week on painkillers.  And believe me when I say, I don't handle pain at all.)

I've heard that having a section is less painful....which in my case is better! i.e I don't handle pain well!! Tongue Tied

  • Baby Eggs is frank breech - we'll find out tomorrow if he's done any flipping at my growth scan.

  • My SIL did...she was told the same ~~ and ended up having a c section - everything went great :)
  • I know I'm really early now to be worrying about a breech baby, but mine is frank breech as well.  She has been for at least two weeks now (when I had my last u/s), so I'll talk to my doctor at my next appointment this week.
  • My LO is breech, but I'm not gettin nervous til the due date gets a little closer... GL!

  • I'm not a first time mom this time, but DD #1 was frank breech.  I will tell you that I tried the external version and was really very sore for a few days afterwards.  My belly just felt bruised all over!  Ended up having a c-section because she wouldn't/couldn't turn.  The c-section was not bad at all, in fact I knew after my last one that I wouldn't try VBAC because my recovery was so easy.  I have a decent pain tolerance and was taking just tylenol 2 days after the c-section.

Another hint: If you do have a c/s, walk as soon as you possibly can and as often as you feel up to it.  The girls on here told me that when I had DD #1 and I think it's a lot of what led to my quick and easy recovery.

    Good Luck!
