I've been noticing over the last week or two that I can pick up 2 separate "heartbeats" when I use my doppler. For instance, this morning, the first one I picked up was towards the top of my uterus, which is slightly below my belly button. It was nice and strong, in the 150s. So definitely not my own.
Then when I moved the wand down lower, towards the top of my hair line, I found another one. It's hard to describe, but it sounded slightly different than the other one I picked up. But it too was in the 150s.
I'm wondering if I'm picking up bloodflow in either the placenta or the umbilical cord. Is that possible at this point? Has anyone else noticed 2 heartbeats like that in completely different areas?
I know it wasn't just the baby moving back and forth either because I could move the wand to each separate spot numerous times and they were both pretty stationary in those spots.
