Any Recommendations for Princeton/WW area obgyns?

Hi, I've recently gotten a BFP, and I'm looking for an awesome obgyn. I have not decided where to deliver yet. Ive heard good things about Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, but it is kind of far.  I'm not sure about Princeton Medical Center.  Any reccommendations?

  • I have heard many good things about Dr. Forster and her practice- she was actually recommended to me by another physician so I think that's a good sign. I don't know where she delivers though.

  • I got to Princeton OBGYN and have a great experience so far. I just started going to them when I found out I was pregnant because I moved shortly before then. It is a group practice, so you have to see all OB's there (3) but I have seen two so far and have been happy with both. One doctor is a female (Dr. Petraske) and the other two are male (Dr. Gross & Dr. Friedman). I picked them primarily b/c they are affliated (and also located within the hospital complex) with UMC Princeton, which is where I want to deliver.

  • Thanks! I've read horrible reviews on Dr Gross from the moms on the west windsor forum, however read wonderful reviews on Dr Petraske.  Do you know who will deliver your baby? I'm just afraid it would be Dr. Gross if I go to princeton obgyn.
  • Somerset OBGYN has an office in Hillsborough which is not far from Princeton.  They have 4 doctors, 3 of them women.  I've heard nothing but great things about the group.  Mr regular is Dr Pineda - she is awesome.  I've also seen Dr. Miranda and she is wonderful too.  They deliver at St Peters in New Brunswick.  My sister-in-law is an OB nurse and worked there for a few years.  She knows all of them well and said they are the best.

Just sayin, I go to the same OB group and I've never had a problem with Dr. Gross.  I thought he was actually really nice.

I've never had a problem with Dr. Gross either. He was the first doctor in the practice I met with and decided to stick with them based on him. He is a little bit more "matter of fact" than sympathetic, but I personally like that in a doctor. He's always been perfectly nice and understanding and even took some time to socialize with my inlaws when they were in town and came with us to a visit. Dr. Petraske is absolutely awesome... I'll agree with that. No, you don't know who will deliver your baby in their practice, it completely depends on who is on call. I am completely comfortable with any of them though.
