i know it's asked a lot and it's annoying but I can't find a recent post with responses. I'm totally NOT showing and feeling like a chubbo (clearly the weight is not the baby)...I think I'm on track though for weight gain...just wanted see where others are? I can't find a good recommended weight gain by week online.
15 weeks on Wed, gained 8lbs
Thanks!
Re: weight gain?
Our family blog
I gained 10 lbs first tri- then nothing until probably this weekend (thanks to a visit with family). So I was in your same position, and it rounded out and turned into a real baby bump eventually. My Dr says 5-10 lbs first tri is ideal, but remember that everyone is different.
SCORE! Huge thank you for that link. I was beginning to feel like a beached whale -- which is quite easy in this state, I think. But according to that site, I am right within the healthy weight gain range. Puts my mind a bit at ease.

like all of the PP have said everyone is different. i was within the healthy weight range pre-pregnancy,at my 16 week appointment i had gained a total of 10lbs.
I have actually lost 5 lbs since finding out I was pg. I was worried at first but my doctor said this is ok (as long as it doesn't extend far into the 2nd tri and 3 tri).
My OB said to not watch my weight but to just make sure I eat healthy, drink lots of water and eat an "extra" medium snack/small meal a day to get those 300 extra calories.
here is a chart:

Week 13. Now that you've finished your first trimester, you can start eating for two?a little. Plan on gaining about 12 pounds during the next 14 or so weeks.
Week 27. You may be distressed to see the numbers on the scale creep (OK, jump) up: From here on out, you'll probably be gaining about 1 pound a week. This still only translates to about 300 extra calories a day, though.
This is what I am going by...if you go by this you should gain 25 pounds. Now my dr wants me to only gain 17 pounds and so far I haven't gained anything. Check with your dr and see what they say. Like everyone else said everyone is different but the above is what I am going by.
