Diarrhea and Vomiting -- at the same time

Well dear lord. I've been up since 3:30 am with severe diarrhea and vomiting. At the same time. Meaning that until I figured out to sit on the toilet and throw up into the trash can, I was accidentally "going" on the floor. I was so embarrassed I couldn't even tell DH.?

My sister came by this morning to take me to the ER, and she brought some Pedialyte with her. I couldn't quite make it to the car (and was really afraid of having an accident in her car) and asked if I could rest for a minute and try to keep some of the Pedialyte down.

Holy moly. Within five swallows, i felt SO much better! I haven't vomited since that first sip (wasn't even keeping water down before that) and my diarrhea improved by half. I decided not to go to the ER and give myself time to?re-hydrate. Now, I feel a little achy and tired, but I'm pretty much back to my old self with no yucky symptoms.?

My sister is amazing. And don't worry, I'm calling my Doc and informing her about my episode in the morning. ?

Yeah, a "Fresh Veggie Plate" from a local pub we frequent. Even as I was eating it, I felt something was off about it. I would totally be in the ER right now if it weren't for the Pedialyte miracle. Amen!?

Oh god, I hope you are feeling better!! I wonder if there is some bug out there. I have had the same problem today. Dh and I went to bru to get our pack in play and I had to run out of the store to vomit. To my embarrassment as I was sitting in the car vomitting into a bag, I had diarrhea. My poor husband was so sweet. He ran into bru and bought wipes and new pants for me to climb in the back to clean myself up until I was able to drive the 30minutes home. I'm in bed now, feeling like hell. I hope you don't have a repeat performance. Get tons of rest and fluids.

SWEETIE! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, too. Have DH get you a couple liters of Pedialyte (i like the Mango flavor). It really, really helped me. I felt like death.

That happened to me early Saturday morning, it was food poisoning. The doc said that it won't hurt the baby just stay dehydrated.

Poor mommies!!

Pedialyte also makes freezer pops, if you want something cold... (I know that when I'm having both northerly and southerly tummy trouble, cold makes me feel better)

OMG, I hope you're okay. Sounds like severe food poisoning. Yucky. Nice that you're ordering veggies to try to be healthy while preggo, and you end up ill. Might as well have the burger and fries next time. Hope you feel better soon.

Yuck! It sounds like food poisoning. I've had it before and have experienced it coming out of both ends...yep it's embarrassing but hey, there's nothing you can do about it. I hope you feel better.
