Success after IF

Yup, it's C-Diff

I think the universe is just using me now for it's own entertainment. Seriously. I spoke to my MFM this morning (who treated me for it the first time) and he sent me to the ER for fluids and tests. They got me back on the medication I took the first time (vanco) so hopefully those will clear it up very quickly. I obviously need to stay away from the babies until my symptoms are gone, and I'm extra sad because tomorrow is their one month birthday and I really wanted to be there with them :(

  • I'm so sorry Brooke :(

A little unsolicited advice... have your docs talked to you about probiotics at all? Jack had to be on vancomyacin for sepsis when he was an infant and it DESTROYED his stomach... it kills all the bacteria (which is completely the point with your c-diff) but it kills all the good stuff too... I know that once they introduced the probiotics Jack's tummy got a lot better.  Just a thought if you are having bad side effects from the meds..

Hugs to you.. I'm so sorry you have to go through this and that you have to be away from your precious little ones.

  • I am so sorry. I am always thinking of you and praying for all of you guys.
  • i was really really hoping it wasn't :(

  • I am SO sorry :( I am so sorry that you will not be able to be with your babies on their one month birthday :( On a happy note, yay for one month old babies!!!! That is fantastic!!! I pray for you all daily and am in awe of your strength. I pray that you get well soon!!
It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.

Thanks - I am actually on probiotics. I took them the entire time I was on Vanco last time (35 days, I think) and I tried to take them once I got off the vanco but honestly wasn't that religious about it. I'm taking them again now though. I hope they help!
