Our social worker is coming to visit today and I'm really nervous because the nursery is a total wreck. We've had the furniture in it for awhile, but just finished making improvements to the closet and were waiting on the bedding to begin painting. We didn't start painting yesterday, because it would require dragging all of the furniture (except the crib) out into the living room and making an even bigger mess, so it's just the way it is.
I know she'll understand, but I hate that it's not perfect for her visit!
Re: nervous - SW visit today!
There was SOOOO many things wrong when our SW came in. I'm serious ... she probably thought we hadn't really cleaned anything. LOL
I just told her - we're cluttered but it's clean. She said it was fine but I didn't exactly spend days cleaning out my junk or scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees. I don't do that on a normal basis lol.
Oh Good luck! Please let us know how it goes. Surely she doesn't expect you to have the nursery together already, does she?
I can guarantee that our nursery won't be together or even started by our home visit. I guess I could say "See that nursery furniture in DS' room? Picture it in this room in a couple of months". LOl
