2nd Trimester

Dh is clueless

everytime we see a VERY pregnant woman he looks at me and says "see thats what a pregnant woman looks like, you dont even look pregnant"

um...okay. im sure he's trying to be nice, but by the time the words get to my ears it sound like " see thats what you are supposed to look like, you just look like a big fat blob"

This is is especially offensive to me b/c i have gotten HUGE this pregnancy, not fat, but my belly is definately there. im way bigger than i was with my two other pregnancys.   just thought i'd share :)

Re: Dh is clueless

  • try not to let it bother you, or just tell him it does( because they are all different) he will see the change soon enough. i compare to everyone at the same stage and to some i am tiny to others i am huge

  • If my husband said this to me... I would find a really diesel guy with muscles and say "hey you see that guy over there, that's what a husband should really look like."  see how he feels.
