We transferred yesterday. Turns out my lone egg turned was at the morula stage (day 5 transfer). The embryologist said that it looked good and that they see "plenty of pregnancies" with morulas. After looking it up on Dr Google, I learned that morulas can become blastocysts within 12 hours. So hopefully by now that's where it is. I also learned that morphology issues (which is what DH has) can cause a morula to arrest between the 5th & 6th day. I'm trying to remain calm and just focus on getting our little guy to grow and settle in.
Interestingly, my nurse told me that I shouldn't take my fish oil between now and when they do the beta. I hadn't heard that one before, so thought I'd share. She also said that I shouldn't have any caffeine - even white tea during the next 2 weeks. Which totally bums me out. But, I'll do anything I can to make our little guy happy and healthy!
Re: Lone egg ET update - it's a morula
fingers crossed!!!!
question, did the nurse indicate why fish oil would be an issue??
This may be a dumb question, but would the morphology issues come into play since you did ICSI? Wouldn't they have picked out the best sperm to use?
Good luck! I hope to hear good news from you soon!!
I am so happy all went well! I have been thinking of you!!!
I have my fingers crossed!
Go little embaby go!!!!!!!!!!!
Sending truckloads of baby dust to you!!!
Come on lil embaby...stick!!! Everything croseed for you!!!
::::dumps sticky baby dust all over::::
She didn't, but I'm thinking that it was maybe b/c fish oil isn't regulated by FDA so she was advocating for an abundance of caution. Neither DH nor I are carriers for Cystic Fibrosis, so I'm willing to forgo the fish oil for a few weeks. My PNV has DHA in it anyway.
