So I have some covers that I want to sell that Nora has barely ever used. My Mom started making wool covers, so I don't need these PUL covers anymore. I've never sold anything like this before. How do you do it? Do you have to have a special type of paypal account to be able to receive $? I guess I'm just weary of selling to strangers. If I can't do paypal, do I make them send me a check first? Someone show me the ropes of selling diaper stuff....TIA!

Re: selling some cd stuff
Any PP account can receive money, and now that there are fees on any purchase, funded vs. cc doesn't usually matter. If you have a personal account, you can only receive 5 cc payments a year, and cc fees are higher, at 4.9% + $.30 (others are 2.9% + $.30). But the benefit to personal accounts is that you can still accept personal (non "goods") payments with no fees. If you're selling an item to someone you don't know, it's better for them to send the money as goods so the buyer is protected, but fees will come out of what the seller receives. But if the payment is for cash, something not going through the mail, something between friends, etc., then a personal payment (with no fees) is fine. If the seller has a premier account, which you can choose to upgrade to or which you automatically get if a personal account gets over 5 cc payments a year, everything (cc and now funded too) automatically gets the 2.9% + $.30 taken out. It's a heck of a lot more confusing than it has to be! Now it really makes more sense to factor in fees to your selling price b/c most of the time, if you're selling goods to people you don't know especially, fees will get taken out of any type of payment. Until last month often people asked extra to cover fees b/c fees weren't automatic to send funded payments to personal accounts, but fees were extra if buyers used a cc, and sellers didn't want to include fees for everyone if the buyer could send funded and the seller had a personal account. Yes, it's confusing!!!
If you wan to trade the Thirsties cover for "part" of a goodmama, I'd be happy to!
And did you find any probiotics?

Wow, that is really confusing. I'm going to have to reread your reply a few times to get all of it!
I still haven't found the probiotics! I haven't tried Earth Fare yet, but I'm going to try tomorrow. Harris Teeter and the Fresh Market did not have them. I do have a Walgreens that I can try if I'm not successful at Earth Fare. If I can't get rid of the Thirsties covers, I might take you up on that offer.
Sorry, I know it's confusing! The gist is that you'll get charged fees for goods you sell, so it's best to factor in an extra dollar so so to cover them. It used to be that funded payments didn't get fees, but as of early June they do if they're for "goods." That's the short version.
Earth Fare and Vitamin Shoppe are your best bets for probiotics, I think! Good luck!
