This made me sooooo EFFING mad!!

in 2nd Trimester
So I have an 8 yr old son with Autism and most of my co-workers know this especially this guy. So I colored my hair the other day and he had the nerve to tell me that not only could I not color my hair but he also heard it causes Autism! Knowing my son has that and he said it to be a smart a$$ and I'm so mad and hurt at the same time!! I had to walk away. What should I do? go to HR or a MGR or just ignore it?

    Go to HR or a Manager.  That is entirely inappropriate oh him to say.

    That's horrible! I'm so sorry that someone had the nerve to say that to you. I would report it to a supervisor or HR right away! There is absolutely NO reason for anyone to take those words lightly, whether the person intended it to be malicious or not. It's just not right.

    I would agree with everyone here in going to HR.  Type up an official letter and detail everything exactly with the date and time on it.  That guy is a total douche and deserves whatever he has coming to him.

    Go to HR. That is ridiculous. AND just so you know Autism is caused by siezures in utero... there is no way to stop it from happening and also there are no "known" reasons for it happening. It just happens. I am a special ed teacher and have been to SEVERAL conferences on this. That guy is just an ignorant @$$hole!

    Thank you all. I am going to HR first thing on Monday. Even if I wasn't directly related to Autism its not something to joke about! You all are great!
