Welcome kit from Target for registering??

My husband and I just registered last night at Target for our l/o.  When we were registering the computer said we can go to the counter and claim our welcome kit which consisted of a tote, coupons and samples.  When I asked the lady behind the counter she said I have to call this 1-800 number and they will send me one.  Simple enough I thought...ha.  When I called the number the guy said that they no longer do phone requests and we HAVE to get it from the store.  Soooo, I called the store back and a different lady said they hadn't had any in months and I should try another target, but NO Targets within 20 miles of me has them.  I sent an email to Target but now I am getting pissed.  Did anyone else not receive this, and if so what did you do?? 

I know it's just my hormones, but this *** pisses me off.  It goes along with the saying "don't make promises you can't keep."  If you're promising mommy's to be a welcome kit, make sure your stores have them!!!!  I don't think that's too much to ask.  GRRRR

    You are not missing much with the welcome kit.  I think it included a baby book (like hints on things to register for from target), a couple of coupons, and that was it.  I was not impressed.  Some people received a free bottle or diaper in theirs I think, but that was not in mine.  It annoyed me too.

    At first I didn't get it, but when I went back, I did.  I was not impressed with anything... nothing very exciting in there.  Some diaper samples (Huggies and Pampers I think) and a ton of coupons for products I won't use (like Johnson & Johnson).  The better deal was signing  up for Publix baby club... way more coupons I'll probably use AND a free book from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    I miss publix. They do have they better baby club deals. I wish they would hurry up and finish buying out the Albertson's so I can have one in my state!

    lol...I actually work at the Publix Corporate office and you are right, our Baby Club rocks!  One of my good friends works in the baby buying department so it's nice to get those free samples...it really helps out.  =)  Still annoyed with Target though.  Oh well, i believe you if you ladies say it's not worth it.

    I got one in the store no problem. In fact when I went back to add more items to my registry they gave me another one.

    Mine had a $20 gift card to Shutterfly that I used for a bunch of free prints.  I think I also got a gift card to Target in it as well.

    We got ours in store when we registered. It was a bag with coupons, some sample diapers, a catalog of baby items, and a few other samples.

    Sorry you're having such a hard time with it, but you didn't miss out on a whole lot.

    Same thing happened to me... I hate target reg. I went to all three stores here and they all said they no longer carry them in store. I called and they said I have to get it in store... I gave up.

    I did all my target registry online so i didn't get squat except my 10% completion coupon in the mail. Just accepted that as how it was, I wish i got a welcome kit thou....

    The only thing I really liked out of the welcome kit was the $20 gift card to shutterfly and it doesn't expire for like a year so I'm saving it for the birth announcements! Sorry you didn't get yours I would keep trying, maybe they'll get some in.

    DH and I never got our welcome kit as well!!! I just let it drop after a few weeks. GL!

    I used to work for the Target they just opened here in AK and we were never once told about a welcoming kit for any type of registry.. If you really want to get something done you can either call or go into the Target and demand to talk to the LOD.. (leader on duty) and just complain and complain.. They will definately work something up for you. They're so scared to lose business now-a-days they'll give you just about any kind of coupons you want to make sure you'll come back. You can always threaten to cancel your registry, even if you aren't serious :) We had a lady who just came in and barely (and I mean bareeeelllyyy) complained about one cashier lady (who was pregnant, haha) being a little rude and they were throwing coupons at her like there was no tomorrow!
