  I checked the settings, and it didn't say anything about third parties. ?The options were "friends only" or "no one." ?So I think this is false.?

  The thing I find annoying is so many of my friends have pictures of me and lo... now I need to make sure they change their settings too. UGH... stupid FB.

  I don't think this is new -- I changed this setting at least a month ago when I went through all the privacy options. (Not that the OP said it was new; I got that impression from it being posted on a bunch of my friends' pages.)

  I have mine set to 'no one', but even if you don't, my understanding is that it still only pulls YOUR FRIENDS' photos for ads for you to see, and vice versa.

  My friend was p!ssed (and ranted on FB) when he had an ad pop up for "hot singles in your area" and the photo was of his wife. A friend of his posted that in one of his programming/tech magazines, it said FB only pulled profile photos of random friends of yours. No strangers.

  Still creepy, so like I said, mine's set to no one...
