This might be old news for some but I just thought I would share:
?FACEBOOK has agreed to let third party advertisers use your posted pictures WITHOUT your permission. Click on SETTINGS up at the top where you see the Log out link. Select Privacy. Then select NEWSFEEDS and WALL. Next select the tab that reads FACEBOOK ADS. There is a drop down box, select NO ONE. Then SAVE your changes. (REPOST to let your friends know!)?

I have mine set to 'no one', but even if you don't, my understanding is that it still only pulls YOUR FRIENDS' photos for ads for you to see, and vice versa.
My friend was p!ssed (and ranted on FB) when he had an ad pop up for "hot singles in your area" and the photo was of his wife. A friend of his posted that in one of his programming/tech magazines, it said FB only pulled profile photos of random friends of yours. No strangers.
Still creepy, so like I said, mine's set to no one...
