DH just called to tell me that one of his customers is coming tomorrow to install our kitchen tile (DH will give him a discount on some tools he wants to buy from us and so costumer is basically installing for free, well and beer)!!!!!!!!!!  YAY!!!!

    We bought our house knowing that we would be replacing the floors through out (old wood in the kitchen, carpet everywhere else, even the bathrooms, yuck).  When we got home from the hospital after having ike, our pipes burst in the kitchen (actually it happened while we were in the hospital, but we didn't find out until a week later).  Our floors were jack hammered up and concrete had to be poured.  The kitchen had concrete floors up until the BBQ gtg at my house a couple weeks (or has it been months already?) ago when i finally got DH to put down the underlayment.  We are having slate put in tomorrow :o)  Another free gift from a customer (it helps working in the flooring business).

    Jess- the floors in ike's room are down!  DH just needs to sand and varnish :o)  Looks like the hallway will need to get done before the guest room though, lol.  Oh well.  tomorrow a/c guy is coming back to clean coils outside and inside and says that should fix it, yay, no more $600 electric bills!!
