Hot natured LO's

Does your LO sweat at night after you put them down? We have noticed lately that grady is sweating really bad after we put him down. His head is wet with sweat most nights when we go in check on him before we go to bed. He sleeps in shirt and shorts, has a few blankets but they are in the bed with him he is not covered by them. We do cover him up with one blanket. We keep the house on 73. When he wakes up in the morning he is not sweaty.  His room is the coolest room in our house.
It doesn't seem to bother grady but we are a little concerned as I don't think most kids are like this. Any ideas?

Re: Hot natured LO's

  • K sweats like crazy at night. ?She sleeps in the same as Grady, but she pulls her cover up over her head. ?She likes to sleep under it, like she is in some sort of tent, so that is what I have always blamed. ?She can wake up absolutely soaked, but is fine in the morning.

We run a ceiling fan in her room and that helps a lot. ?I don't have any ideas - some people are just more hot natured at night and in bed? ?My DH can be burning up and I am cuddled under the covers at night, but during the day we are about the same in terms of comfort level and temperature.?

  • Eli is a really hot sleeper.  He also sleeps in shorts and short sleeves and only has one blanket that ne normally isn't covered up with and he still sweats.  We keep the house at 72 and also keep his ceiling fan on.  Heaven forbid if he falls asleep on me, my shirt will be soaked in 5 minutes.  He doesn't sweat like that during the day though, only when he sleeps.
