I always see these posts where people say that their toddler plays in their crib for awhile when they wake up, and it makes me wonder... what are they playing with? DS's crib is pretty spartan. I've just got a blanket and a stuffed toy in there. He doesn't even have the Rain Forest thing anymore because he never played with it, so we took it down. What is in your DC's crib that they enjoy playing with?
Re: Todder moms- what's in the crib with DC?
Maddie just has her blanket and one stuffed animal. Her crib soother is in there, but she can't reach that b/c she won't sleep if she can. She also has about 5 pacis in there, sometimes she plays with those, lol.
Every once in a while (maybe once a week), she just needs some quiet time- she's very fussy but isn't tired or hungry- so I'll just put her in her crib with a few toys and she'll play for maybe 30 minutes or so, then usually take a short nap and then she's in a much better mood.
Kylie doesn't play much when she wakes up. ?She just sits in the corner of her bed (for a while sometimes) and will eventually call for one of us.
She does have care bear, "other care bear", bee bee, sheet, blanket, bunny rabbit, and I let her take books in there if she wants. ?She just usually falls asleep with the book under her bum for some reason.?
Sorry, Nora's not really a toddler... but almost is
Maybe try putting something in when you go to bed. That way it is there for him in the morning.
2 small pillows; Mommy Bear; BB (THE blanket); Bubbles (puppy); Frog; Big White Bear; Ted (The T-Rex); Two Ugly Monsters from the Dollar Spot; Three Books; and Rainforest Soother.
Yeah, it's all in there and he still has room to sleep, amazing, right?
He picks everything that he wants in the bed with him, and no, I don't worry about suffocation or anything like that. The only thing I worry about is him peeing all over the stuff since we're potty training.
Alex has a blanket, and a paci (sometimes 2 depending on if it ends up on the floor or not) and his BFF Scruffy the Dog. We do have a crib toy and he will play with that. But most of the time he just sits and plays with Scruffy.
I know a lot of people on the 12-24 month board put books in there, but I dont know that I would do that until after he fell asleep.
