I have tried to do my thryogen scan/Radioactive Iodine treatment for my thyroid cancer for over a year now. At first we couldn't get my TSH levels right.
Since then it has been scheduled twice, and each time cancelled two days before it was supposed to get started. It is a week long process. The first cancellation was due to my BFP, the second cancellation was due to me having to start chemo.
I have it scheduled again and it's coming up but I guess I'm nervous that something is going to come up, I suppose I'm afraid that streak will continue. I don't even want to admit when it's happening because I'm so afraid of "jinxing" it. LOL
If you wouldn't mind keeping it in your thoughts that nothing funky comes up so I can get this taken care of finally I would appreciate it.
Sorry so this got so long.
Re: NPALR: Good thoughts/prayers needed
Thanks. I appreciate it. It's two days of shots, the RAI pill on Wednesday and then the scan on Friday.
The bad thing about it is that I will have to stay away from Lewie and Evie for at least the three days. I will definitely be online. I won't have anything else to do. LOL

I will certainley be thinking about you. DH and I have been in your shoes, well mainly more DH.
Here is the readers digest version
DH had Graves Disease and had to have his thyroid removed. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks before they could figure out what was wrong, which meant I was living in the hospital room with him. He was transported by ambulance twice. They thought it was his back at first. He was taking a LOT of pain killers for his back but his thyroid was so out of wack his body wasn't processing things right so he thought he was in pain. We were so worried he had become addicted to the pain killers. He lost like 50lbs in a few weeks.
It was just horrible oh and this was just a few months before our wedding. We had to cancel the wedding. Once they figured it out his levels were so out of wack that they had to wait almost 6 weeks to do surgery until he was stable enough. Once they removed it he bounced right back. A week later they told him that his thyroid was abnormal (obviously!) and that it was sent to Johns Hopkins for testing. We ended up getting married 1 more week later on our original wedding date but on a MUCH smaller scale, family only in my moms backyard. The day we left for our honeymoon the dr's office left a message on his cell " to call them back" we were so terrified and weren't sure if we should call back then or enjoy our HM and then call. We decided to call and we were so glad we did, everything was fine. He is now doing great and takes synthroid daily.
Good luck with everything and like I said, I will be thinking about you!
Thinking of you! I'll keep you in my prayers.
