kinder care

does anybody use kinder care for childcare?  any feedback, good or bad, about them?  i'm just starting to research different daycare's and found that there is one around the corner from me.

Re: kinder care

  • Which Kindercare are you talking about?  I'm a preschool teacher at a different corporate owned center and I haven't heard the greatest things about Kindercare.  BUT remember most of them are individually owned and can be nice I'm sure.  The facilities in general look nice.  If you want I can give you a list of questions to ask when you go.  Most parents go in and just see a top of the line looking center and enroll but you have to see what really goes on behind the scenes.  I work at an amazing center but not all places are so great.

  • "KinderCare" centers are not individually owned. (For the PP, a center can not be corporate and individually owned simultaneously) KinderCare centers are a part of a large corporation Knowledge Learning Corporation, not a franchise opportunity.   Therefore, management is different from center to center but, you can always go to corporate customer service if any issues can't be resolved with the center management.

I suggest you visit multiple child care centers, small and large. Make sure you know what you are looking for and go with where you feel most comfortable. My biggest concern is how many children are in the infant and toddler classrooms. You are going to hear good and bad things about every center you visit, it all boils down to where you feel most comfortable leaving your little one while you work all day. Best of luck!
