What to bring for birthday pics?

I totally forgot that Colton is having his 1yr pictures next week so we can send them out as invites for his birthday. What should I bring to the photo shoot? Picutres are Monday on the canals in Las Colinas if that helps. Any suggestions would be great!

Birthday hat?? Where can I get one?

Smash cake??

Really, I have no idea. Or bring nothing?

    DD is getting hers done on Saturday (shout out CharShin!) and I am bringing:

    B-day outfit (tutu, onesie, bloomers, hairclip)

    Butterfly wings (it is worth a shot.... they are so cute but she will hate them - her birthday is butterfly theme)

    a dress for outfit change

    small smash cake on a pink plate plus birthday bib

    Birthday hat - may or may not use since I dont have a fancy one, just the regular paper kind

    Ours will be outside as well - love the ideas of the canals!!  Ours has Koi ponds so I am scared she will fall in the water, lol.

    Birthday hat, smash cake, balloons, outfit changes is all I can think of. I've seen hats at BRU and Party City. If you lived closer, I have one you could borrow that I got off Etsy. Btw, how is Colton doing?

    Thanks for asking about Colton. He's doing better. Each day gets better and better. Tuesday night his mic-key button fell out and of course we freaked! We couldn't get it back in and everything we fed him was leaking back out and we just freaked. Nice, huh? Anyway, we took him to Cooks ER and now we know how to put it back in and everything. Scary at first but now that we knwo what we're doing I feel better. In fact, today is the first day I feel confident in what I'm doing with him.

    I'll check out BRU and Party City. Where do you live?

    AW Sallie, that sounds so cute!! Girls always have the cutest stuff! Can't wait to see those pictures. Oh, and I have the same fear about my LO and water too, lol

    Did you ask the photographer if she had props.  I just took Leah's b-day pics and she had the birthday hat, balloons, and tutu (not that you need it) I brought 2 dressy outfits (but she only wore 1) her rocking chair and the smash cake.  I would bring his bike she may be able to get got shots with it.  And heres a big piece of advise try to get light blue icing on the cake, Leah's was bright pink and it stained her skin.  Took alot of scrubbing to get it out.  Oh and bring towels (like dish rag size) to clean him, baby wipes will not be enough.

    Good call on towels and the light blue icing!
    The bike was from his hospital stay so it belongs to Cooks. LOL

    I do need to call the photographer and see what she has. hmmmm. thanks
