I asked the same question to 2 nurses and 1 doc and they all say its fine. One of the nurses said she went on it when she was pregnant and stayed on it ever since!
I wouldn't. I work at a medspa, and our aestheticians recommend avoiding Benzyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid while pregnant (from what I've heard, most OB's make the same recommendation). It's been a long time since I've used their products- the cleanser and toner may be okay, but the 3rd step is off limits.
my doc said it was okay but it wouldn't likely help. Pregnancy acne is a creature of another color and no matter what you do it wont likely make a difference. So far i'm doing okay with just Cetaphil which i switched to from Proactiv once i found out i was pg. I wash morning and night and do a once a week apricot scrub to exfoliate.
My lord, there is so much conflicting opinions between medical professionals. Hrm, my skin is looking like I'm going through puberty all over again. I was going to order proactive until I read all this. Hrm,now what to do!?
It's crazy how there are so many different 'lists'. I took a bottle of my Proactive to my first apt. and the Dr. said it was fine...she said to stay away from Salysilic (sp?) acid. Now you guys have me all nervous...oh well, I guess I shouldn't worry bc I got the green light from the Dr.
I called my OB's office a few weeks ago, and they just said to stay away from anything with Retin-A or Vitamin A in it. Everything else (topical) was fine. I've been using some harsh stuff (benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid) since my skin has gotten progressively worse since I went off the pill. I couldn't take it any more. It's getting better, thank God.

Just called the doctor.
I was told that it was totally fine. Anything higher than 5% BP should be avoided. This is 2.5%
Really? My dermatologist just rx'd Finacea for me and told me it was a category B ~ crap now what am I going to use?
Yep. I know every dr. has different opinions on it, so im sure thats why. Im switching ob's, so we'll see what the new one says!
