We had our pedi look at a diaper rash when DD was in for something else, and although hers turned out to be regular diaper rash he did tell us to be on the lookout for bumps. He also recommended Lotrimin to put on it if it developed into yeast.
after examining very closely...in the right light, you can see little bumps on Nora's rash. I'm going to call the pedi tomorrow. They've given me their treatment over the phone before (including lotrimin), but I'm going to double check on it tomorrow. I'm just so thankful that we may have finally figured out what this rash is. I hope I'm right!

I'm not sure what they look like as, even though I had horrible months-on-end thrush, DD thankfully showed no signs. I started taking probiotics and eating a lot of yogurt immediately. (This is a good idea for all of us anyway; we supplemented Kira's EBM with probiotics, and after she could we started giving her yogurt nearly daily and still do.) Also, I used grapefruit seed extract (GSE) topically, in the laundry, and orally until the thrush was gone. I used a homeopathic anti-yeast med too, and I completely cut out carbs (other than fruit, etc.) and daily (other than yogurt) until it was gone. Lotrimin didn't help for me but Monistat topically eventually did. Just a few yeast-related ideas -- more hugs!
