I think we have the same taste in strollers...I am guessing you have been doing a ton of research on doubles...can you just let me know which one to buy?
I am not buying or researching a single thing until new baby is here! No nursery set up, nothing! Ok, I will buy newborn diapers but that is it!
Are you ready for Maja's birthday?
Re: *Aga*
Ah... don't even ask me about the b-day... I'm beginning a major denial stage. She started taking steps last night!! She IS NOT growing up, she IS NOT growing up!!!!
We are kind of in the same boat and won't be setting up much for now but we haven't even decided whether or not to keep Maja in the nursery or move her into the spare room.
Here's our stroller list for now (in no particular order):
- Bumbleride Indie Twin
- Baby Jogger City Elite
- Bob Revolution Duallie
- Baby Jogger City Mini?
- Chicco Trevi (only as a travel type stroller)
- Kolcraft Countours Tandem (maybe... not as practical but only one I found so far with the seats turning around)
?
I'm having a problem with finding strollers that will take our car seat (Maxi Cosi- you have one too right?). So far the only ones are the Baby Joggers and Bumbleride.
I also like Valco Latitude for 2 but I haven't been able to find a floor model around here to test it out (I have with all the other ones) I saw the single version of it back in Atlanta over a year ago at strollandgo.com. They have a showroom in Alpharetta and I remember liking the stroller.
I guess it would depend on what you're looking for? To us it's between:
- one "do-it all" stroller and in this case I'm leaning towards the Baby Jogger City Elite?
or
- one jogger/outdoor stroller and one travel/quick trips stroller and in this case it would be the Bob and either the Chicco or City Mini?
?I'm leaning towards option #2... I LOVED the Bob when I was working in ATL but it's bulky and not practical for travel which we do a lot so I'd want to go with something lighter. The City Mini (will take the Maxi Cosi) drives like a dream, I love the huge canpies and fully reclining backs and you seriously will not believe how easy it is to fold that thing flat. The only negative on it is the price tag which along with the Bob adds up to about $1000. This is why I'm thinking of the Chicco... you can get that one for $138 on sale plus the Bob with a 20% off coupon so that isn't so bad.
Feel free to message me here or on FB if you have any specific questions. I'm such a stroller wh0re that I'm actually considering looking at European options while we are in Spain in September.

We found the 2008 Bumbleride Indie Twin on an unbelievable sale a few months ago and snatched it up. Obviously we haven't used it yet but we've put it together and I love it. It was also one of the few that DH and I both felt comfortable pushing (he's 5'11 and I'm 5'2).
I had basically narrowed it down to the Bumbleride, the BOB and the Zooper Tango.
Oh and I'm not a jogger at all so I really didn't need a true jogging stroller but I really liked the BOB. I just had been coveting the Bumbleride from the moment I started doing research on it so when I actually found it on sale and within our budget, it had to come home with us!
Good luck on your research ladies and since I did find out what I was having this time and I'm a Type A research queen, let me know if you have any questions about anything else. :-)
I just wanted to add that the Baby Jogger City Elite folds incredibly easy as well and takes the Maxi Cosi so in addition to the large canopies, easily reclining seats, adjustable footrest and handlebar and?accessible?basket it ends up being kind of a "full" package for me.
I honestly would be happy 100% with the City Mini except I would miss the jogging/all terrain option so if that's not your priority, def. check it out.

Oh and I know many love the Phil and Ted's but when we went to look at it, I put Maja in the lower seat (she was about 8.5 months) and she quickly reached for the wheels and stuck her fingers in there. The wheel guards were on and she was properly strapped in so it may have just been my large and overly grabby kid but if you do consider that one, keep that in mind.
