Not baby related: Ew, gross! TMI!

I'm warning you now, this post may be TMI... So I took out my belly button piercing about three years ago and was left with the top hole still opened but the bottom completely closed up. Recently I noticed that there was a very pale blue line running between the bottom and top hole but thought nothing of it. This morning I was poking around the top hole and saw that there is a piece of gunk inside. (Here's the gross part) So little ol' me goes and grabs the tweezers and pokes in there to grab the gunk. I pull it out and it's not just a little piece, it's a looong strand! Ewwwww! Now the pale blue line is completely gone (I guess it was the strand) and I'm left with the top hole irritated but at least it's clean in there now.

So girls who used to have a belly piercing, what happened to your holes???

    Oh man that is weird!

    I left my belly button piercing for my whole pregnancy - but I only went to 32 weeks and Trig was IUGR so I wasn't very big.

    Ewww is right. Sadly I've been there before...SO gross! Like you said, at least it's clean.

    I honestly have no idea WHY I even got my belly button pierced in the first place. Call it freshman idiocy...the holes/scars never bothered me until I got pregnant. I'm carrying all in my belly centered around my belly button, which popped out a few weeks ago. The holes look so weird all stretched out. :( I think the holes are closed but it's possible they aren't...I had issues with getting my ears pierced because the holes would never completely heal/close.

    Lol! Sorry to gross you out ladies!

    Oct11bride, I got mine pierced at the age of 17. I don't know why either, to tell you the truth. Simply to do something that none of my friends expected me to do, I guess. Anyway, it got annoying after awhile and since I never showed it off, I just took the sucker out. So far the holes don't bother me, they are just there. Then again, I still have another 3 months of growing to do so that may change!
