2nd Trimester

Another Boob/Bra Post

Sorry ladies- I know there have been other posts about boobs and bras this morning, but I have a different question! I keep waking up at night when I roll over because my boobs are hurting (I was a 32DDD/E before I got pregnant and now I'm a 34G- I miss my old boobs!! Crying). Anyhow, I have purchased one new bra to wear that actually fits, but I don't want to spend a fortune on bras in the next 5 months. So for those of you who are later in your 2nd tri (or lurkers from 3rd tri), how much more have your boobs grown after the beginning of your 2nd tri? Would it be worth it for me to buy a bra just to sleep in?

Re: Another Boob/Bra Post

  • yes, buy a sports bra.  My ladies are growing like mad, still.  I was barely a B cup pp, now I'm a full C!

  • My boobs have been the same way lately. I haven't slept through the night in awhile now since my boobs prevent me from getting even the slightest bit comfortable. I'd love to hear the responses to this post.
  • I'm probably not much help... I started off a 34G and my entire last pregnancy only went up to a 36H.. so not much growth (thankfully!).

As far as not spending a fortune on  larger bras... I have been able to find some at Dillards for around $20-$30.  No, they aren't pretty... but they are supportive and comfortable so they do the trick.

  • I am a 32 I now and I started as a 32 GGG.  I am still trying to get by with my 32 GGG, but I am going to have to cave.  I did buy a sleep bra that will stretch and grow with me and it is also a nursing sleep bra.  I figure I can get away with that even after my daughter comes.  I am still waiting on the regular bra, but I am gonna have to do something soon.  Try just buying one, if possible, and wash it out at night.  If you need more later then go ahead.  I am not officially getting any nursing bras till six weeks before I am due.  I am still growing.

I just looked at Dillards and the bras they have now in a 34G start at $50. Maybe I'll keep that website in mind though... in case those bras go on clearance or something.

  • I was a 36C and now I'm a 40D.  I have a feeling that this is it for me.  But, you never know....My mom started out as a 34B and ended up with 40DD.

  • With my first pregnancy, I only went up in size once and I ended up going to Target to buy nursing bras - they were comfortable and affordable.  I went up from a 38 or 40 D to DD, I think.

This time, I'm only 18 weeks and have already had to go up twice - I'm starting to think I'm carrying the baby in my chest.

  • I was a DD before and have just switched to sports bras for the time being.  That way I have the support as my bbs continue to grow and do not have to constantly buy new bras.  They are great for sleeping in as well.
