Pacifier Wipes

So, of course Harper likes the dang soothie paci that doesn't have a normal clip and I'm not doing the one that is specifically for that paci - it's HUGE and the paci already covers 1/2 her face!  So...it gets dropped alot.  I came across pacifier wipes today at BRU...are they worth it?  I didn't buy them b/c I figured they were a joke, but curious if anyone else used/uses them?  Not sure what the difference is b/t those and diaper wipes, but imagine regular wipes probably don't leave a good taste.

Re: Pacifier Wipes

  • I saw them but never bought them. I usually had a bottle of water with me and I just rinsed them off. Once he was a little older I just put it in my mouth to clean it. He stopped taking one at 6 months so we don't have to worry about it anymore.

  • I've seen those too. I just use regular wipes or a bottle of water. DS never acts like the regular wipes leave a bad taste.?
  • I just lick them off :)
  • I have some and use them when we're out and about. I like that they're in a small package that fits on one of the outer pockets of my diaper bag. I'm sure regular wipes would work just fine, but I'm a sucker and tend to find (and buy) a lot of things I don't really need.

  • Oh, and M would only take the soothie at first, too, but she's also taking the avent clear one, now (which has the little ring for the clip). It is not flat on the bottom like a lot of others are - which is why she hated all the other pacis we tried.

  • I just carried a sh*t load of Soothies. Seriously. I wouldn't leave the house without at least 5.

  • I have them and I think they are worth it. I think they are formulated so that the chemicals used are safe for baby's mouth. They are also flavored :) I like the fact that they are small and can fit in my purse easily.

  • I've never heard of them, but they probably are formulated differently to be safer for the baby vs. baby wipes. You might just try them out and see if you like them or not. Hudson never really took too much to a paci with the exception of using them rarely up until he was probably 6 weeks old or so. He loved the Soothie too, but we just eventually switched them out and it was fine. I think that's part of the reason he stopped because he didn't like the others as much.

I think I remember reading on the packaging that they are made of all natural ingredients.

  • I just cleaned them off with water and made sure I packed extras when we went out.
