Went to L&D, no babies yet!

I knew I wasn't having the babies yet, but I wanted them on the monitors for a while to make sure they were responding well to contractions. I was contracting regularly, every 2-3 minutes. The good news is I have nothing going on with my cervix: no dilation and no effacement. The babies heart rates looked great. They are responding really well to the contractions. They gave me a shot of terbutaline since I am not full term yet. That stuff is horrible and it didn't even stop my contractions. They slowed some, so given my past history and the fact that it appears to be repeating itself they sent me home. I'm still contracting very regularly this morning, but still no pain. They said that they won't aggressively try to stop labor at this point since the babies are big and doing well, so we just go back in if my contractions get painful.

I'm glad you and the babies are okay. I hope the contractions either slow down/stop or go ahead and get the babies out! It sounds miserable to just have to hang out contracting constantly for days or weeks on end.
