Baby Einstein dvds

I got a sampler dvd with our Baby Einstein play mat, and dd was fascinated by it. I want to buy a full length dvd (or several), but I can't decide if I should just buy a couple or a big lot off of ebay or amazon. How many of these does your LO have? And do you use them very frequently? TIA!

Re: Baby Einstein dvds

  • We use them ALL.THE.TIME. DD2 LOVES them and I can get laundry done by putting it in for her, granted she can't really see the tv but she loves the music. DD1 and DS have seen all of them so many times that the play room is more up their alley.

We also have the CDs too. Those are great for in the car as well. I highly recommend them! I'd get them at Amazon if you can. That's where I got most of mine

  • I would only get 1 or 2.  DD like the music and it would keep her amused but it drove me insane that they were so low budget and cost so much.  Check craigslist, I'm sure you will find some locally.
  • I think I have one that you can have - we've never opened it and she watches other stuff now.  Let me know and I'll look when I get home!
  • Creamy, that would be awesome! I don't mind paying you for it, just let me know. Thx!

  • I've also got one that you can have. It's the World Animals one. I thought I had a few more but I must have already given them away.

  • And if you like those I have the full set up for grabs.  My mom bought the set and he never go into them so they are just collecting dust.
  • The only one I have is Baby Mozart, but she likes it. Like nybride said, they felt like an insult to my intelligence, but as DH pointed out, if it makes baby happy, it doesn't really matter if I don't 'get' it. We got a laugh out of it though and I'd like to get a few more of their DVDs as well.
  • T was only minimally interested in them at that age...she would watch but only for a few minutes at a time.  My mom just sent us a "Brainy Baby Laugh & Learn" dvd that got great reviews. I'm excited to try it!

  • DS loves them.  I don't know why, but they really grab his attention.  I got mine at a garage sale for $2 each after my SIL told me she sees them at garage sales all the time.  I definitely wouldn't buy them new b/c you can get them used for so much cheaper & they probably won't be interested in them for that long.
