    I'd say it depends on what you have available that is closer. If I had JCP closer, I'd try that first. If I wasn't happy with that I'd try PI next time. If your only option is the Walmart photo studio, I say make the drive.

    Umm...good prices, nice printing, and a looser, more studio like picture session.  I got lucky, they put one up 10 minutes from my house, and I like it. 

    These are PI pictures (Christmas card pic from last year, and sex announcement...we obviously didn't stick with the name):

    mrsladd had a good idea: here are mine from PI. He was 5 weeks old. I really liked them, but if I didn't have one so close to home I would have gone somewhere else to start out.

    Will I use them again rather than try the "somewhere else?" Yes.

    It depends on what you're used to driving. We drive about 40 mins to our PI- I love it! I can't find anything that is as fast, easy, cheap and printed in 30 mins. However, we are used to driving 40 mins to 70 mins to go shopping at a good mall. So, to me, that isn't too far of a drive for one...

    The PI studio is close to DH's family so it's not like unfamiliar territory....I think we might go with them.  I just want a "sure thing" and everyone that has mentioned PI has loved them versus getting many different opinions about JC Pennys, Sears, etc.

    I think it's worth the drive.  We drive about 20 minutes to get to our PI.

    I don't know if you'll see this but the two top pics in my siggy are from our PI session a couple of weeks ago.  If you have family nearby to break up the day I'd definitely make the trip.
