Did you do anything special for the people that wrote your reference letters for you? If yes, what did you do for them? I feel like doing something special for these people taking time out of their lives for us but not sure what exactly. Thanks!

I hadn't thought about it. Sending a thank you card might be a nice gesture. Then, once the child is home, you could send a small gift or picture with "thanks for helping to make this possible".
Not exactly, but we did have dinner with them when we asked for the reference. For two families, we had a big fondue party, and after the kids left (they are mostly older) we asked the parents for the favor of their references. For the third family, we treated them to a steak dinner, and asked them during dinner.
LOL if only my group of people would have been on the ball about this.
Our references we're good friends. One is a teacher & one is a journalist and the 2 of them have taken the longest to get their letters in!!! I keep having to call them and see if they've done it.
Our SW said she would just call and do the reference over the phone but good Lord! It's embarassing lol.
golly! I hadn't even thought about it. To be honest though, i think they would hate it if we bought them something. They would totally want us using the money for the baby. They are more than excited for us and were happy to do it. But i will send cards.
