DDs 9 mos. appt update

She did not gain very much weight but the pedi is not worried.  She is 15 lbs.3 oz. (5th percentile) 27 inches (50th percentile) and has a head circumference of 43.   Pedi wants her to eat more solids, less bottles and was surprised that she is not waving or clapping but said it is okay.  Note to self: practice clapping and waving!  Of course, Gianna did not say a peep while we were there and as soon as we were in the car she babbled away.  Overall a good appointment but now I am concerned about the clapping and waving!

    DD still doesnt clap (unless clapping her feet counts) if it makes you feel better! My pedi didnt even ask about it at her 9 month appt.

    But yay for a good appt anyway!!

    I didn't even know clapping and waving were milestones! Sounds like she's doing great though - there are always a few things our kids are a bit slower on, right? And who needs waving anyway when with all that babbling, she'll probably just be saying "hello" before we know it? :)

    Andrew doesn't wave or clap either.  I've gotten tired of trying!  Oops.

    glad it was a good appt.

    Robbie won't clap and he can MAKE the waving motion, but won't do it on command at all.

    i agree with pp - those are not MAJOR milestones, so i wouldn't worry too much about that :)

    sounds like a good appt. I had no idea about clapping/waving. Conner doesn't do any of that.
