Did any of you get a gender prediction from the ultrasound tech? I heard sometimes they can tell you not to take their word for it since it can only be verified at the anatomy u/s, but still give you a hint? If so, was it correct??
We did and it was confirmed at gender u/s. My N/T scan was at 13 weeks.
ETA: The tech did tell us that they guess at the sex that early by the "angle of the dangle" so it isn't completely accurate. She did warn us to keep any receipts just in case.
Oh, and the anatomy scan isn't 100% on the sex either. There's more than a few on these boards and IRL who were told one thing at the 20w u/s, only to have the other arrive. The only 100% you're going to get before birth is aminio/cvs results.
My NT scan is tommorow and I was wondering if they could do more than guess. Of course, we all know that isn't the reason for the scan but might as well take a guess while your in there!
There were two techs in the room and both said they were 100% sure he was a boy - they were right.
A lot of people swear they can never be more than a 50/50 guess at this appointment but I think if you have a late NT scan, a good tech, and the right angle, it can be pretty accurate. My OB told me ahead of time that they would probably be able to tell us the sex.
Our NT Scan was at 13, almost 14 w and the Tech said that she was certain that it was a girl. We went for our big US at 18w and it was confirmed that we are having a girl!
We went at 13 w 6 days and I think it's a boy, the tech wouldn't say for sure but was leaning towards boy and another tech said definitely boy. I'll let you know in a few more weeks wehn we find out for sure, but I also did the ring test and it said boy and as crazy as it sounds I've heard that that is pretty accurate ( who knows...)
My ultrasound tech told me that my little bun in the oven looked like a girl!!! But still she stated that is still too soon to really plug in a gender yet....so to keep all my receipts until my second ultrasound which is scheduled for August 27th!!

I'm sure like all other gender predictions, the NT scan guesses are about 50/50
Here's some info about finding out that early: https://baby2see.com/gender/external_genitals.html

BFP with no treatment!
My NT scan was at 12 W 5 D and the peri said she was 95% certain it was a boy. It was confirmed at 19 W 5 D.
The later you have the NT scan done the more likely you will get a correct sex prediction.
Seems like a lot of ppl on the Bump got incorrect guesses but everyone I know IRL got correct predicitions.
Thanks Becky for the cool link!!
