1st Trimester

Second timers...

do you feel like this kid is getting the shaft already?  We haven't discussed names, I'm not obsessed w/ a nursery (i doubt they'll be a theme)  and I'm much more lax w/ my diet.

Re: Second timers...

  • I did at first but the the further along I get the more I get into it. DH was deployed for my first so he is much more excited this time around.

  • I totally felt that way during my last pg.  I just found out I was pg again last week, and am frankly barely ready to aknowledge the whole thing yet.  I am starting to get excited, but fear is more the emotion of the hour.
  • I am definitely more relaxed about everything.
  • i am just as excited, maybe slightly more... but then again I dont have 14 month old twins lol

  • I am excited...only because we have been trying for so long to have a second child.

  • Actually, I think it's pretty much the same.

We haven't discussed names, but we're only at 8 weeks, we have time.  And we didn't name DS until after he was born anyway!

We didn't do a nursery for our first because we were in temporary housing and DS was in our room for the first 8 months anyway.  We won't have a nursery this time either, because we know we'll be moving when DC#2 is 4 months old.  I only had a very small (6 people) shower with my first and expect I won't have any with this one.  We really only bought (and had room for!) the basics and I think things are all in pretty good shape for #2 to use too.  Of course, grandparents stand ready to buy new clothes if we find out this one is a girl!  ;)

I am a little more lax with my diet, but I think that is only because I have to grab whatever I can while running after DS!  And because right now I'm still feeling really sick, so I eat whatever I can.

I'm actually feeling better emotionally than I did during my first pregnancy - probably because I'm not working at the difficult job I was working at before, and because DH is a little more available (due to work schedule) than he was the first time around.  Unfortunately I'm also feeling MUCH more nauseous this time - ugh!
