There's a Disney princess named Briar? I didn't know that. Breyers is an ice cream not Briar. It's a different name and I would have never thought of ice cream. That being said, it's not a nice name IMO.
Briar Rose was the name of Princess Aurora while she was being raised by the fairies. Breyers ice cream is what my husband thinks when I mention the name. Briar patch is another good comparison!
I think of it as a prickly bush. Isn't that what Tar Baby gets stuck in, in that children's story? Anyway, if I met one without seeing the spelling, I think I'd guess Briar not Breyer.
I would not think of Briar Rose right off, but I would think of a briar, like a sticker/ thorn. Then, the ice cream comes to mind. And it rhymes with liar.?
Re: Disney Princess? Or delicious ice cream?
My first thought was, "Hey, I used to have a nasty little patient named Briar..." I used to work at a vet, and Briar was a snappy, mean little pooch.
But it's still a beautiful name. Very natural and classic.
I love it and think it's super cute!
I do think Disney Princess though
I think thorny bush, although Sleeping Beauty is my favorite princess. I don't think of Breyers.
I'm not sure about it as a name, but I do think it's a nice word and has nice sounds. If it works with your ln....
I thought of this as well.

Well, because of the spelling, I do go to Briar Rose first.
But you know that a briar is a thorny bush, right? It's kind of like naming her Thistle or Cactus.
