Baby Measuring in the 50th percentile

Is this normal? 

I had an ultrasound today but the tech does not disclose too much information.  I have to wait to see my doc in 2 weeks.  I know she will call if things don't add up.  Just wondering if anyone else's baby was measuring in the 50th percentile or close to.  I feel like the baby is measuring small.

    I think 50th percentile would be kind of the definition of "normal," no?

    Mine was in the 33% about 2 1/2 wks ago and the OB said she was okay with that.

    you DO realize that means your baby is SMACK IN THE MIDDLE of the growth charts? as in, baby couldn't be any more averaged sized? as in, NOT SMALL?

    50th Percentile means that half the babies his age are bigger and half are smaller. You are right as average. Its fine.

    Mine is at 40th.

     At 37weeks my baby was measuring in the 50th percentile. My doctor said everything looked perfect.

    Luke measured in the 50th percentile at my 28 week ultrasound. By my 34 week ultrasound he was in the 65.5th percentile. He was born 3 weeks early and weighed 6lbs 13 oz. Had he been born on or after his due date, we would have had a 9lber and NOT an small child.

    Got it, thanks!  I don't know why I was thinking small when hearing 50th percentile.  I know 50% is smack dead in the middle.  I guess because I am carrying small and my doc requested an early growth ultrasound I am reading inti things too much.

    This. Since it is a comparison with other babies, not every baby can be in the 90s...

    I got an ultra sound today and I am in the 50% the doctor said that it is perfect, not small not big perfect.
