Re: ~~~IVF check-in 7.21.09~~~

  • Hi ladies -

I've been pretty MIA lately on these boards.  Work has been crazy, and I've been trying to enjoy my break cycle by not thinking about IF so much.  Not that it is working - I still check in on the boards most evenings, but haven't been posting much.  Congrats to Vandelay - I saw your post last night!LoveMyMonkey - I must have missed your announcement, but that is awesome! and all the other BFPs I've missed lately, congrats to you all too!

QOTD:  Honestly - I hate housework.  Can't think of one I actually enjoy.  That's why I'm trying to get a housecleaner! :-)

Update:  I'm still awaiting AF (day 45-ish?) so that I can have a hysteroscopy to remove some reoccuring fibroids.  Then onto IVF#2.  At this rate, it will be Sept before that happens.  Ug!  I hate IF!

  • ER tomorrow afternoon for IVF#1.   Trying to think positive thoughts!

QOTD: I hate all housework and hardly do any.  I think the worst is cleaning the bathroom.

  • Good morning ladies!  Congrats vandelay and Rose!  I am so happy for you!

QOTD: I can't think of one that I actually like to do either.

Update:  My follow up was last week and our miscarriage was just a fluke. The baby had trisomy 17 which is very rare and unlikely to happen again.  So we are moving forward with IVF agian, but probably not until next year.  DH is not comfortable with cycling again so soon and he is probably right in the assumption that I could not handle another miscarriage again right now.

The office called me yesterday and told me we have a plan in place but yet again they have lost my stim sheet from my old clinic.  This is the third time I have had to send it to them.  Hopefully I will get a call today telling me what the plan exactly is and what I am supposed to do once we fell ready again.

  • QOTD: this is on my mind lately as I'm considering hiring someone to clean my house. I actually like cleaning b/c it takes my mind off of things - my favorite is probably vacuuming, and my least favorite is a toss up between cleaning the bathroom and cleaning the kitchen.

Update: finally have my baseline u/s and b/w today!! and right after that I have my hematology consult to see whether blood thinners are recommended. Then hopefully I will start stims on Saturday! yippee!!

I've never posted on the IVF update but figured I might should start!

QOTD: I LOVE to cook and clean the kitchen.  It is what relaxes me after a long day at work.  My least favorite is cleaning toilets - I told DH when we got married if he used the toilet he had to clean it b/c I am not the one getting pee everywhere!

Update: I had my follow-up from IVF#1 that resulted in an early m/c.  My RE said he thinks it was just "an unforutante event" but is glad that I did actually get pregnant.  We only have one embryo frozen so have opted to do another fresh cycle.  As of right now we are planning to cycle in Nov/Dec of this year and are hoping for out ER & ET to be in the first or second week of Dec.  Hopefully IVF#2 will do the trick!

Hi ladies!  Let's keep these BFPs coming!

Hugs to all those that need them. :(

QOTD:  I really like to organize things. I am a container store freak!

I HATE doing laundry and dealing with the dishwasher.

    Update:

I will have a repeat SHG tomorrow and we will have our Karotyping and I will have the RPL done as well. NOt looking forward to the saline filled ute! ;)

If all is well, FET #2 is a go for September.

  • Favorite chore: weeding the garden.  Least favorite: everything else?  I guess cleaning the toilets is way up there.

I'm on BCP right now and will start stimming somewhere around August 1st.

  • Congrats to Vandelay and LoveMyMonkey!  ((Hugs)) to those who need them.

QOTD:  I really have to be in the mood to enjoy any cleaning but I don't mind dusting and vaccuming.  I could definately do without scrubbing the shower and putting laundry away.

  • QOTD: I like many am not a fan of cleaning.  If I had to choose one to like it would be vacuuming.  Biggest hate is cleaning the bathroom.  It seems to take forever to get it clean.

Update on me: I start lupron tomorrow morning and go in for my baseline u/s on August 1st.  This cycle seems to be flying.

Congrats to those BFPs.  Huge hugs to those who need them.  There was too much heartbreak the past few days.  GL to all those cycling.  I hope this is it for you.

  • Good morning!

Congrats to all the BFP's, and good luck to all of us who are in the wait Big SmileGood luck to everyone else, too!

QOTD: I really can't think of a favorite, but the thing I don't really mind is vacuuming. There are lot's of dislikes though Wink folding laundry and putting it away, unloading the dishwasher, and cleaning toilets are a few that come quickly to my mind!

    Best to all of us!!!!

  • What is your favorite household chore? Sorting clothes piles and washing clothes. Something about having control of washing all the clothes perfectly and having them smell so good. Plus I love the smell throughout the house when they are drying. I admit I have an obsession with lavender vanilla scented cleaners as well.

least favorite? Cleaning shower and bath tub. I can't stand cleaning the grout and scum. Really drives me insane since I am anal about leaving things spotless.

  • QOTD:  i never minded vacuuming, then we replaced the carpet with wood floors and i HATE sweeping/mopping them...it's right up there with folding laundry...i wait until it's out of hand before i take care of it.  I like organizing and cleaning countertops though...or really, i just like when it smells clean :)

Update:  so i thought i was a month away from even starting bcps, but i called my nurse to let her know af was here and my dr got me started on bcps yesterday!  i think i'll take them until 8/2, then start stims.  i have a hysteroscopy this thursday or friday and lots of bloodwork since i'm going to a new re this time.

  • Update: IVF#1, day 4 of stims

Question of the day: What is your favorite household chore? dusting and vacuuming least favorite? cleaning the bathroom, laundry

Update: IVF#1, still on lupron, to begin stims on 7/26

Question of the day: I actually like vacuuming and doing laundry.  I absolutely hate dusting and cleaning the bathroom.

UPDATE: In the 2WW....ER 7/17, ET 7/20, Beta scheduled for 8/3.

QOTD:  I love doing laundry and cooking.  I can't stand cleaning the bathroom, especially showers/tubs and toilets.

  • QOTD: My favorite thing to do is empty the dishwasher!! I hate cleaning the kichen-no matter how much I do it the mess never ends! haha

About me, this is y 1st IVF check in with you ladies. I started my lupron on 7/3 and my gonal f on 7/17 (150). I went in today for a u/s an blood work. The u/s lady said we have 20+ on each side!!!They are all too small to measure but its a start. I'm waiting on the nurse to call me this afternoon with the results of the blood and to tell me when to come in next and if I should move my dose of the gonal f. Sorry if I ramble!!

  • QOTD:  My favorite household chore is keeping up with the gardening.  My least favorite chore is cleaning the toilets!  Gross!

Well, I took a hpt on Sunday and got a BFP.  I still have to wait until Thursday for my beta, but I'm hoping the BFP was true!  So it looks like you can count me with the July BFPs!

Good luck, hugs, congratulations to those who need them!

  • Congrats to the BFPs and hugs to those who need them!

Update:  I finally got AF after 40 days and now we'll have two cycles trying on our own (ha!) before we do any other treatment.  I have to go for my 3rd SHG next week, fun.

QOTD:  I'm not a big fan of housework, but I don't mind vacuuming I guess.  I HATE cleaning the shower/bath tub.  I'd even rather clean the toilet than clean the bathtub.  I'm weird like that.

QOTD: The only chore I really enjoy is food shopping.  All others I can't stand!

    outofcntrl82- ER scheduled tomorrow.

  • QOTD: I hate all cleaning and don't do it... We have a cleaning lady. The worst is probably the toilet. I didn't mind so much when I lives alone, but what IS it with men and their aim??? DH blames it on his height. He says at 6'5", he shouldn't be expected to have perfect aim without splash. I then said I shouldn't be expected to clean it. He didn't want to clean it either, hence the cleaning lady ;) Update: joined a gym and have added swimming to my exercise routine. I swam in high school and after college on a master's team. Feels good to be back in the water. The hope is to do IVF #2 before the end of the year... Congrats to BFP's and (((hugs))) to those who need them!

  • Hi all!

I guess I should be added to the in between cycles, although I'll know more on Fri!! Please pray for some good news, I need it!

QOTD: My favorite chore right now is laundry because I just got a new washing machine which I love. My least favorite is dusting because I have an anal DH who likes every crack and corner to be dusted and feel I have to do it justice when it's my turn to dust.

  • I think we're waiting until October to cycle now, since I did some rough calculations and realized if we started right away my ET would be around the beginning of Sept... which is when my contract is up at work, and I don't think a load of absences right then is a good thing.

QOTD: I hate housework. But I don't mind doing laundry, even if I'm lazy about folding. Most hated? Cleaning the bathroom or the litter box. I make DH scoop the box :)

  • QOTD: OK I'm a weirdo I actually like to clean, but I'm not so much a fan of cleaning the tub/shower that is the worst.

Update: started stims on 7/12 but I am currently not responding (which sucks) and they don't know why, so they increased my dose and I have to go back tomorrow for another check but we are right of the verge of being cancelled (sucks, sucks, sucks) so much for IVF#3

QOTD: I hate cleaning. My least favorite is unloading the dishwasher and putting away clean clothes.

  • QOTD: I guess I don't hate laundry, especially since I revamped our closet. It's much more "user-friendly", hehe. Washing dishes isn't bad either, but I don't like drying.

No updates on me, just biding time until we can start our next cycle.

  • Good afternoon :)

Favorite - Oh, I dunno. Least favorite - cooking

My WTF appointment yesterday was a total waste of time. 4 hrs. of driving- each way- to  be told "We don't know why you didn't get pregnant". Like that convo couldn't have been over the phone.

So now that I live in GA, I'm looking for an RE in Atlanta.

  • You can remove me from the check-in  Crying, I'm under the "On BCP/Lupron Now" section.  My insurance company denied my claim yesterday for IVF, even though I've surprssed and have a baseline appointment on Friday!  Grrrrr.  They have a clause in my policy that requires "less before greater", so I'm being converted to an IUI.

Good luck to everyone else!!!  Especially my buddy Brody :)

  • Hi - can you add me to the list?

I'm currently on Lupron and Estrogen patches (Vivelle 'dot' my ^ss) preparing for my first FET after my IVF BFP turned into an ectopic pregnancy and laproscopic surgery.

QOTD: Favorite household chore is cooking. Least favorite is laundry - sorting, pretreating, washing, drying, folding, putting away - all of it!
