If only I could...

Break open gold fish, stuff them with veggies, and then put them back together. Then DD might get a full serving of vegetables in a meal.

  • LOL! Have you tried the Sneaky Chef cookbook? It has tons of meals that are kid friendly but loaded with the good stuff in disguise.

  • I'm lucky that BW (Baby Wolverine) loves green beans - she was hungry yesterday before dinner so I made her a quick snack and she ate them all.  They're little microwave cups of them, do you think she would like something like that?

She'll eat peas and that is about it. Do I cave and just give her peas everyday, or do I keep trying other things? I don't want her to get sick of the one veggie she will eat consistently. Other veggies (broccoli, squash, green beans) are hit or miss. One day she will love them, the next she throws them.

Marking it in Amazon to get after we move.

  • Amelia squishes peas in her mouth and spits out the hull, like a sunflower seed! Ugh.

The best way to get her to eat veggies is to mix them in mac and cheese, but I dont want her eating mac and cheese everyday. It is frustrating.

  • do veggie dogs count?  DD looves these for some weird reason.

I also found frozen chicken nuggets stuffed with broccoli and cheese at Target by the veggie dogs.  She had no idea that she was eating veggies.  Ha!

And then the other day I snuck some carrots into her turkey and cheese melted wrap and she ate it all!

I just accidently found this recipe I might try if I ever had time to actually cook a meal before 6:30.

  • I can hide finely chopped veggies in grilled cheese and quesadillas and she'll eat them. I'll have to keep trying new things.
  • Well we recently discovered that broccoli is a No Go.  He loved green beans and will eat the spinach stuff ravioli.  He still love Carrots, asparagus, peas, and squash.

    DS loves them!
  • When you figure that out, let me know.  A couple of weeks ago I bought some green beans & pea baby food & mixed it into Jared's yogurt.  The boy is a yogurt-eating fool!
