Does anyone know if Stanley Steemer is considered baby safe as far as the chemicals used, etc? I have seen a few reviews online that say it is, but I wanted to see if anyone on here had heard the same or differently. Thanks!
My DH owns a carpet cleaning company and says that companys use baby, pet and kid safe chemicals now. It's actually safe for a baby to be on the damp carpet (although who would want to - but chemically safe). Stanley Steemer is a pretty big company so you would be safe using them. Unless you live in Michigan and want to use my DH's company! lol
I don't know anything about that particular brand/company, but we're getting our carpets cleaned this week and we made sure to go with a company that uses non-toxic, biodegradable cleaners. When doing my research, I was shocked at how many companies use harsh chemicals that can create a very toxic environment in your home (which is obviously something to avoid, especially with a baby on the way) - yet most say that they are "fine" to use around a baby or pets. I even called one company and the woman said "Well, I breathe it in all day, and I'm fine." Geez! I'm thinking a newborn might be just a bit more sensitive to the air quality than a cranky 60-year-old woman.... Anyways, the point is just make sure you do the research!
Re: Carpet Cleaning...safe?
i doubt that they would clean your carpets with toxic crap. and you can always call them and ask.
