I know its a stupid question and there are hundreds of answers but is there something I did or didn't do to not have this IUI work?

Re: so...why didn't it work?
Sadly... sometimes they just don't work.
I am really sorry about your BFN. They suck.
IUI only has a 28% chance of working each cycle...sorry to say, the odds aren't much better than TI.
I'm so sorry for your BFN. I'm 100% sure it's nothing you did.
"Smudge's Story - How to Grow a Dandelion" will return soon!

"If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn."
3 IUI's, 2 IVF's , 1 FET , 1 IVF w/ Gestational Carrier, and 1 FET using adopted embryo's = ALL BFNs
We are adopting!
SAIF/PAIF IS ALWAYS WELCOMED TO POST IN MY POSTS!!!
yeah... even if everything goes perfectly, there's no guarantee it will work. which makes it suck even more. our RE only gave us a 10-15% chance of success with IUIs, so we figure it is much more likely that it won't work than it will (but its still better than the 5% we were looking at if we kept trying on our own).
sorry the IUI didn't work! (((HUGS)))
Because we're fancy like that.
Sorry your IUI didn't work! I have been asking myself the same thing for the past three and a half years and still don't have a good answer as to why it doesn't work.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

Just because. I know - it's the worst answer ever, but IUI success rates are generally pretty low (only 20-25%), so BFNs happen a lot
We had five IUI BFNs and it suuuucked.
Hang in there...

Best suggestion is to talk to your RE.
That feeling of "why didn't it work" is very common, there probably isn't a woman on this board that hasn't asked herself, her husband, her RE and her G*d "why didn't it work?"
In my case, the RE said, No good reason, everyhting looked great on paper. UGH! Really? What I wanted was an answer.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Yes, this was our first IUI. Thanks for your reassurance, everyone. We will be awaiting AF to start another cycle on follistim and another IUI.
i don't know why stuff doesn't work - i don't think i got pg this cycle - i can take one last test tonight as a glimmer of hope but I really think it's busted
what bugs me is that this was a perfect cycle, lining was good, 2 mature follies, bd right time, hsg a 2 months ago (and I heard this increases chances)....but i don't think it worked
and yet last year on a thin lining with clomid we conceived twins on the first try when we shouldn't have conceived at all....
pg is such a crap shoot....
