Monitors

We hav the Graco iVibe monitors and they have worked pretty well however they have recently started making this constant crackling noise and it seems like everyday it gets worse. It's getting so bad that DH and I can't really sleep that well. So I am going to buy a new one this weekend and want some recs. Pros/cons? Any advice you can share would be great. I hate to go spend another $100+ without some kind of input!

    And we have had great luck with it.  We had a video monitor prior that would always have feedback if the iphone was anywhere near it.

    I have the Graco iMonitor (not Vibe) - older version, and it works ok for me as long as I keep the parent unit on the charger.  Otherwise, it loses battery life easily.  Sometimes (maybe once a week) one of the parent units will crackle a little, and if I just shift its position a little and sometimes turn it off and then back on, it works fine.  Anyway, I assume you've tried everything, just thought I'd throw some things out there to try and save you some money.

    Try moving it's position or moving other electrical things away from it as PAGAS suggested.  It's funny but just a slight move can get rid of the crackling. Just experiment a little and you should find a better spot.

    Like others, our monitor will crack really badly if it's anywhere near anything electronic.  I would try moving it before purchasing something else.  I hope that works for you!
