DH's middle name is Jackson, and we want that to be the baby's MN, too. I would have loved to use it as the first name, but our friends named their son that recently.
The problem is that our last name ends in -on, as does Jackson. I don't want a first name that ends with that same sound, but it seems like all the names I like end with -en, -in, -an, etc.
Any suggestions?
Re: First name to go with Jackson
Jackson Louis is one of my choices... but since you want Jackson as a mn, another of my choices is Andrew Jackson. Not because DH wants presidential names (which he does, but of his suggestions I only like Lincoln John), but I love the name Andrew/Drew.
Obviously not Michael...unless you are big fans!
Michael?
too soon?
It's funny that you suggested Andrew Jackson. Jackson has been passed down for several generations in my DH's family, and the first one (his great-great-grandfather, I think) was Andrew Jackson Middleton. I like the way it sounds, but I'm not crazy about the presidential reference.
My MIL actually suggested Michael, as well as Randy. Randy is my dad's name, but Randy Jackson makes me think of the American Idol judge!
LMAO .... good one!
I knew a family where the dad was Alan Jackson (like the country singer) and his wife's name was Janet Jackson. Then their daughter's name also was someone famous Jackson but it was a recent thing...like a gymnast maybe? Anyway...
I also would avoid Stonewall.
How about: Graham, Miles, Reed? I think I would try to use a 1 or 3 syllable name. I can't think of any three syllables that don't end in "in" other than Oliver.
