Saw on first tri....

What kind of snacks are you ladies eating now? Im about to hit the grocery store and have been collecting my recipes and such and I am in need of some good snack ideas. Im like addicted to sweets right now, cupcakes, brownies, etc and I need to stop craving them. LOL So what are your snack must haves? THANKS!

  • string cheese, blue tortilla chips, raw almonds, fresh berries and yogurt.
  • String cheese, whole grain crackers with hummus or tabuli, yogurt, veggies (particularly celery) with low fat french onion dip, kashi granola bars
  • Dried fruits, yogurt covered almonds, nuts, veggies with dip, apples with low fat caramel dip, peanut butter with celery.

  • ditto on string cheese and raw almonds. lots of easy to eat fruit, like grapes, plums, and cherries. and.....oatmeal cream pies. HAHA!
  • I'm totally a sweets girl, so I know where you are coming from! Lately, I've been snacking on: grapes, bananas, apples (any fresh fruit really), granola bars, rice cakes, an occassional Twix bar, Goldfish, Gummi worms, butterscotch pudding, and whatever else I can get my hands on. I try and have a good balance between the junk and healthy snacks.

  • Chips and salsa and granola bars.
  • Nilla wafers, any kind of fruit -except bananas-they are causing majoy heartburn lately :(

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker~ Diagnosed with PCOS in March 2009. Taking Metfomin for insulin resistance and irregular cycles/ovulation. Had healthy baby girl in Jan 2010 via C-Section (HTN and Breech Presentation).
    ~ Miscarry at 8 weeks with D&C in May 2011 (low progesterone).
    ~ Had a healthy baby girl in June 2012 via C-Section (on prometrium to sustain).
    ~ Surprise pregnancy at age 40!  Baby boy due April 26, 2021 (took prometrium to sustain once pregnancy was confirmed, 3rd C-Section planned).  
  • Trail mix is my new favorite!  Get only the parts you like in the bulk section and mix up your own mix--dried cherries, nuts, a few m&ms, dates, etc.

  • Fruit. All I want is fruit. Sliced pineapple, clementines, rainier cherries, grapes, strawberries, pretty much anything that I can get my hands on.

    I also *love* hummus. With a whole wheat pita, baby carrots, or slices of red peppers. Yum yum.

    Yogurt. Lotsa yogurt.

  • String Cheese, yougurt with granola, necterines, pears, strawberries, Whole Wheat Goldfish, carrots with ranch dressing, and Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips.

  • Bananas, Fiber One bars, Frosted Mini Wheats (the blueberry kind), and Freezer Pops.  No wonder I failed my one hour glucose test.

  • whole wheat cracker and cheese (sting cheese or the cubed kind), yogurt, apples with peanut butter....or just about anything with peanut butter, ha! Also dried fruit (like cranberries, pineapple, etc) and nuts.  I havent't had much of an appetite for fresh fruit I've been trying to work on how to get more of that in my diet.

  • I feel bad, everyone else is craving healthy snacks, but I want GUMMY BEARS!!!  Yum, they are soooooooo delish to me now!
  • string cheese, nuts, pre-cut fruits and veggies (a must for when I am craving sweets!) 100 cal packs and water!
  • plums peaches & nectarines.  I am loving fruit right now
  • cereal, graham crackers, and kettle corn smart pop!  YUM!

  • I do lots of cottage cheese with fruit and apples with peanut butter. Right now though I'm eating some Tomato Basil Wheat Thins.

  • Carrot sticks, pudding, nerds, granola bars, and anything frozen and fruity.
  • Lots of fruit and cheese.  Occasionally some plain tortilla chips or DH makes the most amazing homemade salsa.  I'm with you on the craving sweets thing.

    This got me through morning sickness!  I would eat like 3 wedges in a sitting!  Ahh...it's so good!
