What DH and I made this weekend (PIP)

I put this on the regular NC board, but know some of you don't go over there. . .one of our friend's sons turned 2 and wanted a train cake. There were 15 kids and 30 adults there, so we made it big. We had so much fun making it! We laughed that this time next year we'll be thinking about a cake for our daughter's first birthday!

BTW - we have friends that are pastry chefs looking for investors so they can open up their own bakery if you're interested in a career change.

I can't see it here either, but I saw in on FB and it is INCREDIBLE!!!! What an awesome job you did.... I bet that family will still be talking about that cake in 30 years! WOW - fabulous job!

I'm serious as a heart attack. They were both working for this guy in Ohio. John kept asking if the business was doing okay, and the owner kept saying yes. One Sunday night at 10pm the owner called and said that he had to fire both John and his wife. Big Jerk! They have two little ones too. They've looked all over for jobs (all the way to Arizona!) and have found nothing. Bif has been helping them with their business plan, but they don't have any money to really back a loan so it's not looking good. They are kind of praying for a super generous loan officer. So, if you or anyone you know is looking to hire 1 or 2 pastry chefs or help start a business, LET US KNOW!!!

Speed, any other time I bet we'd look at that seriously as an investment/something we'd love to do. We have to sell our house in Greenville first and there's rumors of changes coming at work soon. Not to mention that when the government takes over healthcare I'm sure we'll be getting a huge paycut.
