Help Me With My Name Choice....

Long before we were PG, we settled on names for boy and girl.

Boy: Jacob Charles  1st name after DH's grandpa and middle after mine.

Girl: Laila Winifred: Middle name after my maternal Grandma.

A few months later, a friend of ours names their daughter Laila.  So there went that option.  Lately the name Shiloh Winifred has been stuck in my head and won't go away.  How does that sound?  Your thoughts are welcome...

  • I like Shiloh, but I immediatly think Brangelina

What about: Lilah or Leila? Different, but still close to your original fav

  • I personally don't see why you can't have the same name as another kid.

  • I agree. Why can't you have the same name? The only names I think to stay away from are cousins, but a friends should be okay.

  • I like Shiloh, but if you still love Lailah, I don't think there is any reason not to use it. Other similar options like Lila and Lyra are also beautiful.

I agree.  How many Sarah, Jessica, Christy, Lisa, Jenny, etc lived on your block?

    ditto

also, Lilla is another pretty variation?

  • I like Shiloh! That's cute!
  • I love your boy choice, but don't like Shiloh at all. I understand not wanting to use Laila because of your friend. I think friends' children's names are off limits.?
  • I really like Shiloh, I went all through school with a girl named Shiloh and that was long before there ever was a Brangelina so I don't classify the name as a "celeb" name.
