Having a growth u/s this Thursday and we're excited and scared to see the out come.

Things are going well, I had a growth ultrsound last monday and doctor said baby was 3.3lbs and he was average and everything looked fine.
Question - yes we will be doing birth announcements once we get home and get settled.
After a loss at 13wks and years dealing with IF and failed treatments (3 failed IUI and 1 failed IVF), we have been blessed with DS (surprise BFP) and now his little sister (2nd round of clomid and TI) on her way.

We'll print the cards on 5 x 7" card stock. I'm hoping to get the address list together within the next month so they'll be ready to go before baby arrives. That way, I can just add the photos and send to the printer.
With my first baby, we did the same thing (different style) and blew one up to 8x10" to frame in her bedroom. I'd like to do the same for this baby.

We'd like to. I really like the offerings from tinyprints.com but not their prices. The hospital has a web nursery and you can use the pic from there to have announcements made.

yes, we are planning on it...we signed up for a maternity/newborn photo session with a professional photographer and the birth announcements are part of the package.

QOTD: Are you going to do a birth announcement?? We are planning on doind them. We live out of town and I would rahter spend the $$ to get some nice ones made than to have too many visitors! I am worried about feeling like we are a hotel once baby gets here and everyone wants to visit! Hopefully announcements with a nice picture will help spread out the visits!

Yep! Since this is our first, we really want to let everyone know about it. Plus, I really suck about getting pictures out with our Christmas cards, so hopefully this will make up for the last couple years I've missed. And, I found a super cute Dr. Seuss themed announcement on Etsy today that I absolutely fell in love with (our nursery is Dr. Seuss).
