When I go for my IUI this Monday, DH is not going to be sitting by my side like last time. We didn't tell anyone in our family previously about how we got pg the first time and don't plan to this time either. This time around though we have DS and no one to watch him. It makes me sad to think that I'll be 'alone' when I 'conceive' our child (fingers crossed all goes well).

Re: had a sad thought
I'm sorry.
Are you sure you couldn't get a family member to watch DS? You don't have to say why.
Perhaps someone would like to enjoy DS's company overnight Sunday? You could say you and DH want to do something special together. Which would be true!
You've probably been through all of this in your head already, though. DH will certainly be with you in spirit. And his "messengers" will be with you.
Can you find someone to watch him? If not here's a thought: Given that implantation doesn't happen at insemination, you can be together in your cycle when you do implant
That's when you really become pregnant.
That probably doesn't help but I wanted to give you SOME postive thought
But I do hope that you might be able to find someone.
I'm sending thoughts your way, too. You've always been such a kind person to me on this board and I want to wish you the best of luck.
I can relate with the fact that we don't have any family in Florida and our friends work...so no help there! I hope you find comfort in knowing that your LO is being lovingly cared for by his daddy and it gives you peace of mind!
Wishing you the best possible outcome next week!
i thought about this but if we end up pregnant, i'll chalk it up to one of our true bd sessions.
maybe you can find someone else to watch DS though if you feel that strongly about it.
emotions during these treatments run wild! ?i just took a 5 mile walk and wow did my mind wander.
I'm with Cat and the positive thoughts...just think he'll be with you when you implant...and who knows...it may take a little bit for the sperm to actually penetrate the egg and you could be with him when that happens...afterall the boys need to go find the egg, right???
GL & here's hoping for your BFP!!!!
