Does your bladder constantly feel full??

Does anyone else have to pee all the time!? My bladder constantly feels full, which is starting to worry me. I've had UTIs before and I'm not feeling that type of pain/irritation, but at times I feel like I'm about to burst and not very much comes out when I do make it to the restroom.

Normal, or should I call the doc and have a urine analysis asap?

TIA!

Re: Does your bladder constantly feel full??

  • It might be the beginnings of a uti. Recently I had that happen and I brushed it off since it wasn't really bothering me, just annoying me. Two days later (in the evening no less) the uti hit full-on with force and I was miserable until I got meds from the doctor the next day.

GL! Hopefully it's not, but if you continue to feel it tomorrow, I'd call the doctor first thing Monday morning.

  • Mine always feels full and has for months now. I haven't had any infections yet but I would drop a sample off at your docs just to be sure. UTI's are way too painful to deal with on top of being pregnant with multiples. Good luck.
  • The minute I get up from the toilet, I already have to pee again.

I  am not implying that you shouldnt check it out, but if a baby is on your bladder its going to feel like you always have to pee.

  • I have the same problem. Pee all the time but just a tiny bit! Even after a long night. I can only imagine that its gonna get worse

  • I was experiencing very frequent urination as well with no pain or irritation. Well, I ended up in LD last Saturday and stayed for 2 days due to actually having a UTI which caused PTL. I am now at home on strict bedrest because I have already started dialating and my cervix is very soft.

Just keep in mind that it could be the position of the baby but if you have any doubts, check it out with your doctor.

  • Brandon was always either kicking or literally on top of my bladder.  I felt like I had to go all the time... and when I went, I barely had any to go...

I think unless you're releasing a lot of urine and have a burning sensation, or that urgent/hurting need to go (which is strangely different from that full feeling of having to go), or even the radiating lower back pain....you're probably just experiencing their weight and pressure on your bladder...

But, it doesnt hurt to get it checked.. especially if you're concerned.  Agree with PP, a UTI or kidney infection can be dangerous...

I had a UTI after my C/S (probably due to the catheter).  It wasn't until THEN that I really understood the difference in symptoms.

  • I'm honestly up once an hour peeing in the night.  Anytime I wake up I feel the urge.  I've been seeing a doctor weekly and all my u/a's have always been clear so I'm assuming one baby just enjoys sitting, standing, sleeping on my bladder.

Ditto.  I was sure I had a UTI and MADE my Ob check.  All was clear which was great but I felt a LOT better knowing!!
