Is Easton becoming popular?

On another board I'm on 2 other pregnant women besides me are using it, anyone else?

    We considered it but it reminded us of baseball. lol I havent heard of anyone else using that name!

    I've heard it mentioned before on this board and I have seen it on people's lists but I don't think it is getting too popular. Great name.

    Thats exactly why we are using it, my DH is a minor league baseball player and he plays hockey, it's a hockey and baseball equipment company

    Ive never heard of anyone with theat name, but it is the name of a town near us, os people arent to quick to use it around here.

    I've never met an Easton, and I don't know anybody who has it on their baby name list.  But I like it!  I wouldn't say it's becoming too popular... use it!!

    I haven't heard the name at all where I live, but it sounds very much like Ethan, which is quite popular. I have heard of a lot of Weston's lately though!

    There was an actress who had a baby girl recently and named her Easton, I'll bet that has to do with the uptick in popularity.

    I opened your post out of curiosity because I was born in Easton PA and I named my 1st cat after my birth city - Easton.  I have never heard of anyone with Easton as their name... interesting.  Not sure I like it as a person's name... ??

    A girl I went to high school with named her boys Stratton and Easton (both engine manufacturers).

    I live in Easton, PA soooo hadn't even thought of it....but if i didnt live here I'd like it and it's obviously not a popular name here and haven't heard it too much....so go for it!

    I know two baby Easton's (New England) and I've seen it a lot on the boards...I wouldn't call it a popular name quite yet, but I would bet anything it will be in a couple of years.

    i love the name and we are using it!! when i tell people we are naming him easton, they say oh after hockey or baseball equiptment, and we actually came up with it 2 years ago when we were driving to the western part of washington and i saw a sign for the town Easton and from then on i thought it would be such a cute boys name.....so were going with it......and his middle name Daniel came from my husbands and his grandpa's middle name. it better not be becoming popular!!!!!!!
